Med House Calls is currently hiring a reliable Certified Medical Assistant/Scribe for Baton Rouge, LA.

Our Medical Assistant/Scribe works directly with healthcare staff, assists with patient visits, and maintains patient records in our Electronic Medical Records system.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare practice or hospital
• Home Health experience preferred but not required
• Must be dependable
• High level of professionalism
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and follow instructions in a busy paced environment a MUST.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties:

• Work directly with healthcare staff
• Maintain records in Multiple EMR system
• Travel to facilities homes within a 40-50 mile radius
• Utilize company provided equipment to record HPI, vitals and list medications
• Collect information from facilities to set up new patient background information for new visits
• Various office duties as needed
• Scan visit notes into facilities records
