Kelly Engineering is seeking Field Service / Turnaround Specialists to be a part of a turn-around project on-site in Norco, LA.

Duration: 3+ months

Compensation: $50-60/hr (overtime expected)

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, and piping coordination to ensure the successful execution of turnaround activities, maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical equipment, including exchangers, boilers, heaters, towers, compressors, and associated piping systems.
• Coordinate and oversee piping installation, fabrication, and tie-ins, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct rigging operations for the safe handling and installation of heavy equipment and structural components.
• Manage and supervise small crews during turnaround activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with project coordinators and contractors to ensure seamless execution of turnaround tasks.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation, reporting, and communication of project progress.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed to support project activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, turnarounds, or new construction within petroleum, chemical, or related industries.
• NCCER Certification in Boilermaker and/or Ironworks (preferred).
• Proven expertise in mechanical maintenance, equipment repair (exchangers, boilers, heaters, towers, compressors), and piping coordination.
• Demonstrated experience in rigging and heavy equipment operation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for project documentation and reporting.
• Ability to manage and motivate teams while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Prior experience working in plants such as Shell Motiva, Exxon, Valero, Chevron, or similar facilities is highly desirable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with equipment and processes at Holly Frontier, Shintech, Dow, or other chemical/petrochemical plants.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors during shutdowns or outages.
