Pride Health is hiring a Health Information Management Technician II to support our client’s medical facility based in California.

This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of an extension, competitive pay and benefits, and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

Job Title: Health Information Management Technician II

Location: Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Pay Range- $25/hr. - $28/hr.

Duration- 3 months+ Possible Extension

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Duties

• Pick-up of discharged patient records from nursing units; prepping/scanning/indexing documents in the EMR.
• Answers the telephone and responds according to department policy.
• Keeps supervisor informed of issues/concerns that may arise.
• Seeks out additional tasks when assigned work is completed; provides backup coverage for other positions in the HIM department.
• Meets quality and/or productivity expectations.
• Additional duties may include accurately analyzing records for deficiencies; managing all aspects of the clerical transcription process; working various work queues in the EMR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• One year of clerical experience required, including working with calculations and phone systems.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
• One year of medical record experience required.
