Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Business Systems Analyst for our Houston, Texas office with a broad skillset to join our team.

Position Summary

The IT Business Systems Analyst serves as a liaison between business units and the IT department, ensuring that technology solutions effectively meet business needs. This role is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing system enhancements, supporting applications, and identifying opportunities to improve business processes through technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for new systems, enhancements, and integrations.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for IT development or configuration.
• Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Support implementation of new applications or system upgrades, including testing, documentation, and user training.
• Work with developers, vendors, and other IT resources to ensure solutions meet business requirements and align with enterprise standards.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to resolve system or integration issues.
• Create and maintain process flow diagrams, data mapping, and system documentation.
• Assist with the planning, design, and support of network architecture to ensure systems and infrastructure meet organizational needs.
• Assist with change management, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live support.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications or systems.
• Plan and manage the configuration and relocation of branch offices, coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
• Provide ongoing user support, including problem resolution, reporting, and process optimization.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience : 3–7 years of experience in business systems analysis, IT project coordination, or related roles.

Skills & Competencies :

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Proficiency with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., process modeling, requirements gathering, gap analysis).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, or workflow automation systems preferred.
• Basic understanding of databases, data integration, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).
• High proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite / tools.
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of mortgage lending.
• Experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Experience with nCino Mortgage and/or ICE Encompass systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco Meraki networks.
