Research Scientist - Chemistry

Location: Totowa, NJ

Seeking a detail-oriented Research Scientist to manage chemical inventory, ensure safe waste disposal, and support manufacturing (MFG) and R&D.

Responsibilities:

• Chemical Management: Maintain chemical inventory , prepare chemical orders for MFG and customers, and fulfill internal requests. Mix chemical batches (up to 6 liters).
• Waste Management: Oversee chemical waste disposal, including testing, rating, and transfer. Adhere to all safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
• Lab Operations: Operate and maintain lab instruments, monitor chemical processes, test product quality, and prepare SDS/hazard labels.

Top Daily Responsibilities:

• Managing chemical inventory.
• Preparing chemical orders.
• Waste management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Chemistry (0 years experience) or Associate's (2+ years experience).
• Familiarity with chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
• Experience with chemical inventory and ordering.
• Strong attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 6 kg (14 lbs) to benchtop.
• Move chemicals on carts.
