A leading litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Associate – Professional Liability & General Litigation to join their team, handling a diverse caseload across multiple practice areas. This position offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients while gaining courtroom experience and advancing your litigation career in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied docket that includes professional liability, medical malpractice, dental malpractice, public entity defense, general liability, and employment matters .
• Handle depositions, motion practice, hearings, and oral arguments with increasing independence.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs.
• Develop case strategy and provide risk assessment in collaboration with partners.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative bodies.
• Maintain direct communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 3–6 years of litigation experience , preferably in professional liability or civil defense.
• Prior deposition and courtroom experience required (motions, hearings, arguments).
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional professionalism, client service skills, and collaborative approach.

Work Environment & Compensation

• Hybrid work schedule available after training.
• Salary range of $140,000 – $180,000 , depending on experience.
