A respected financial organization is seeking an experienced Mortgage Production Manager to lead the mortgage origination department In El PASO, TX and oversee production goals, business development, and process compliance. Reporting to the Vice President of Real Estate and Business Services, this role is responsible for managing the mortgage sales team, ensuring quality loan submissions, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory, agency, and investor guidelines. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven track record in mortgage operations and team development.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and implement effective mortgage origination policies and procedures to optimize growth and profitability.
• Monitor production goals, pipeline management, and origination performance to ensure departmental efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor mortgage originators to achieve sales objectives and maintain high-quality loan submissions.
• Oversee all origination activities to ensure compliance with lending regulations, investor requirements, and internal policies.
• Conduct periodic reviews of origination procedures and recommend improvements for operational excellence.
• Manage and coordinate staffing, scheduling, and training to ensure appropriate coverage and team readiness.
• Lead business development efforts by building relationships with realtors, builders, and community organizations.
• Prepare and present production and performance reports to senior leadership.
• Ensure all documentation, records, and reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
• Stay current on changes in mortgage lending regulations, HMDA reporting, and agency guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of lending experience, including at least 3 years in a mortgage management role or 5 years as a production supervisor.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and loan origination processes.
• Strong understanding of regulatory disclosure timelines, HMDA procedures, and real estate appraisal valuations.
• Excellent leadership, financial analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Strong business development and relationship management abilities.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to evaluate risk.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, reporting tools, and web-based applications.
