Job Overview:

Nations Dry Out is a nationwide restoration company that provides water, fire, hazmat, trauma, and reconstruction services to fortune 500 companies nationwide. Our goal is to move from vendor to partner with our long list of clients and be the first choice for mitigation services.

We are adding an Operations Metrics & Reporting Analyst to our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working various data sets, appreciates the challenge of applying highly complex business contexts, and is passionate about data and analytics. A successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with data from multiple sources and has an internal drive to answer “why” questions. In addition to being a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and detail oriented.

While this is a predominantly remote role, the individual will be required to attend occasional in-office meetings at our Troy, MI location. Therefore, candidates must reside in or near Southeast Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains weekly and monthly reports with key performance metrics for operational functions, including identifying appropriate metrics per function, determining source of data, establishing benchmarks / targets, and creating repeatable reporting process.
  • Performs analyses of metrics to identify trends as well as areas of immediate concern and escalates to management attention, as necessary.
  • Applies learnings from reports / analytics to the operations organization to foster an environment of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Summarize and present data findings, recommendations, and methodology to senior leaders
  • Develops strong relationships with key operational leadership by spending time understanding their goals and business objectives and leverages data to improve their results.
  • Works to develop ways to capture data more efficiently over time to ensure sustainable process.
  • Proactively resolves data issues across systems to ensure reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Responsible for developing and creating ad hoc reporting of metrics and strategic initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data to generate business insights and value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Mathematics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field, preferred.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms, preferred.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies, preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Macros, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and similar functions, required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and curiosity to question anomalies and resolve ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable integrating and analyzing data from disparate systems.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with a high sense of urgency.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
