Our Concord team is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Project Sourcing Manager to lead the sourcing efforts for key projects, ensuring that all procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role is essential for driving project success through effective supplier selection, negotiation, and management, while maintaining a focus on cost efficiency and supply chain optimization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project-based procurement, with the ability to navigate complex sourcing challenges and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This position requires a proactive approach to supplier engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives to support Cobham Satcom’s commitment to excellence in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement sourcing strategies tailored to specific projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Supplier Selection and Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on project requirements, conducting thorough assessments of capabilities, quality, and reliability.
• Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with project specifications and cost targets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure that procurement activities support project milestones and deliverables.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Proactively identify potential supply chain risks related to projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and costs.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance specific to projects, conducting regular reviews to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures related to procurement, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance sourcing processes, leveraging best practices and innovative approaches to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, providing updates on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and any issues that may arise.

As our Project Sourcing Manager at Cobham Satcom, your qualifications should ideally be:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in project sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven experience in managing sourcing activities for complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for project success.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze procurement data effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges and optimize sourcing strategies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP or LN6, is a plus.

We offer

Salary range: $90,000-110,000 USD depending on experience

This is a full-time position, and the role is based at the Cobham Satcom site in Concord, California. Eligibility requires being either a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident of the US.
