We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent & Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Description: The primary function of this position is to support Ajay’s R&D department by performing experiments, analyzing various chemical products, and producing laboratory scale (gram to kilogram) batches of chemicals. These experiments include, but are not limited to, organic and inorganic synthesis, blending, and formulation activities. Analytical testing of intermediate and final products is required and includes both wet chemistry and instrumental (IC, ICP-OES, GC-MS, etc.) methods.
Further responsibilities include the proper recording of all experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and computer systems. The accurate preparation and maintenance of reagents, solutions, and raw materials for ongoing projects is also required. The R&D Lab Technician may also be needed to support scale-up trials in the main production facility and to assist in transferring laboratory processes to pilot or production scale. It will also be necessary to ensure that all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next day’s experiments.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline
1-3 years of experience in the chemical industry is preferred
