Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator specializing in drywall construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial or multi-family drywall estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You’ll play a key role in the preconstruction process, contributing directly to the success of our projects and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for drywall, metal stud framing, insulation, and related scopes.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive take-offs and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients during the preconstruction phase.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier pricing; build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Participate in bid reviews and value engineering discussions.
• Track historical cost data and maintain databases to inform future estimates.
• Ensure estimates align with project goals, timelines, and margins.
• Support transition from preconstruction to operations with clear and complete handoffs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum [5–10] years of experience in drywall or specialty construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of drywall systems, assemblies, materials, and installation practices.
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Procore, Microsoft Office, On Screen, and Adobe.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
