Job Overview

Reporting to the Microbiology Lab Supervisor within the Quality Assurance department, this position supports the daily operations of the microbiology laboratory. The role involves performing microbiological testing in accordance with established work instructions, procedures, protocols, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing such as SDA, Bioburden, LAL, and other contamination assessments as required.
• Prepare product test samples for analysis.
• Conduct environmental monitoring activities.
• Prepare and quality-check media required for testing.
• Calibrate, clean, and decontaminate laboratory equipment and glassware.
• Collect, trend, and report data as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, or A minimum of three years of microbiology laboratory experience, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations.
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and high attention to detail.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or ISO 9001-regulated environments is preferred.
