Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager’s primary duty is to plan, organize and control all resources for the successful execution of a project. The Project Manager manages the contract work from start to finish, including scheduling, cost containment, compliance and client contact. This individual must possess strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

· Manage and support a team of Superintendents

· Instill Safety as a top priority

· Plan and manage the project schedule

· Develops and maintains positive working relationships with current clients and creating relationships with potential future clients.

· Track and report project progress, budgets and needs

· Coordinate equipment and staff needs to keep project schedule

· Attention to detail, making sure all changes to scope of work are documented and signed off before project completion.

· Manages costs by tracking labor, equipment and materials.

· Manage billing with Project Coordinators to ensure accuracy of invoicing, subcontractors and approval of accounts payable.

· Coordinates efforts and communication with the project owner/general contractor to work toward safe and timely project completion by attending meetings, job walks and other necessary correspondence

Qualifications:

· 6-10 years’ experience in highway heavy and/or commercial/industrial construction as a Project Manager

· Proficiency with civil documents for earthwork and underground utilities.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all Company employees and Clients.

· Desire to help grow and develop careers and mentor other coworkers

· Attention to detail, ability to see and resolve issues as they arise.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred

· Experience with HCSS desirable

· Trimble Business Center knowledge a plus but not required.

Other:

· Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

· Working knowledge of agency standards and specifications for construction projects.

· Knowledge of Davis Bacon rules/regulations on Federally funded projects.

· Understanding of Wisconsin and Minnesota DOT/City Specifications
