About the Role:

Snapsheet is looking for self-motivated, competitive go-getters to join our growing team as Specialty Auto Appraisers . In this remote, production-based role, you’ll manage a high volume of claims for insurance carriers across the U.S. and Canada.

As a Specialty Auto Appraiser, you're a subject matter expert in Specialty Lines and Commercial Vehicle estimating. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, constantly seek improvement, and enjoy collaborating with a team of like-minded professionals. Whether negotiating with a repair shop or corresponding with a teammate, you communicate clearly and professionally. Responsibilities:

  • Write fair and accurate estimates and supplements for specialty vehicles—including motorcycles, RVs, heavy and medium-duty trucks, powersports, and other commercial units—based on photos of physical damage, compliant to insurance company and state guidelines
  • Effectively negotiate files to agreed-upon prices with repair facilities while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
  • Consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality expectations
  • Tailor estimating strategy based on vehicle type, carrier expectations, and feedback from QA or leadership
  • Integrate feedback from auditors and team leaders to continuously improve estimating quality
  • Create clear, thorough claim documentation using internal training tools and external references
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with repair facilities, insurance carriers, and customers
  • Collaborate remotely with peers, leads, and managers to stay aligned while working independently

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience estimating specialty vehicle damage (e.g. RVs, motorcycles, heavy trucks, powersports, or commercial vehicles). Additional auto estimating experience is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of parts, repair techniques, total loss evaluation, and specialty configurations.
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles, including liability, total loss thresholds, and fraud indicators.
  • Proficiency in one or more estimating platforms (CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex, AdjustRite).
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, production-based environment.

  • Bonus: State appraiser or adjuster license (we’ll license you if needed!)
