Position Overview:

The Senior Chemist will lead the formulation, development, and scale-up of personal care products across categories such as skincare, haircare, and body care. This role requires strong technical expertise, creativity, and leadership in driving projects from concept through commercialization. The Senior Chemist will also mentor junior chemists and work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of new formulations, from concept through pilot scale and production.
• Design and execute experiments to optimize product performance, stability, and sensory attributes.
• Ensure all formulations comply with regulatory guidelines (FDA, EU, etc.) and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with business development and project management teams to align technical work with client needs.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges during development and scale-up.
• Maintain accurate records of formulation work, testing, and results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on formulation experience in personal care or cosmetics.
• Proven track record of successful product launches from bench to market.
• Strong understanding of raw materials, formulation techniques, and product stability.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the personal care industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; comfortable working with clients and internal teams.
