Volt is hiring a
Sr. Design Engineer in Denton, TX with an industry leader in their field.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of switchboards used in various electrical systems.
You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the quality and functionality of designs that meet both client and industry standards. As a
Sr. Design Engineer, you will:
- Generate fully specified mechanical and electrical designs for switchboards, panelboards, and/or industrial control panels that are compliant with relevant UL standards.
- Lead complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
- Conduct advanced analyses to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Develop detailed design specifications and oversees the testing of electrical panels.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in engineering projects
The
Ideal Candidate will have:
- 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on designing electrical panels, panelboards, or switchboards.
- Experience in sheet metal is also okay
- Demonstrates strong project management and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in CAD and ERP systems relevant to electrical panel design, including Solidworks 3D.
- Proficiency in electrical distribution and compliance with UL standards, and ability to obtain UL 891 MTR certification.
- Proficient in using engineering software and tools relevant to electrical panel design, including Solidworks 3D and Solidworks Electrical.
This is a
full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
Salary: $100-145K annually and performance based bonuses
