Job Description

New Edge Associates is collaborating with a reputable banking partner that is currently hiring a detail-oriented and customer-focused Temporary Universal Banker in Miami, FL.

The Universal Banker will be moving across 4 branches, serving as a trusted, single point of contact for customers by delivering a full spectrum of financial services. This role blends customer service, sales, and transactional responsibilities, with a strong focus on building lasting relationships, achieving sales and service goals, and providing exceptional banking experiences. The role includes processing transactions, offering product guidance, and ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a professional, friendly, and engaging customer experience.
  • Open and manage various account types while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Educate customers on digital banking tools and promote self-service options.
  • Process financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and negotiable instruments.
  • Maintain and reconcile cash drawers and support ATM and vault operations.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with security and reporting protocols.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Meet or exceed sales and referral targets through in-person and outbound efforts.
  • Refer customers to specialized banking areas such as lending or wealth management.
  • Follow all bank policies, including BSA, AML, and KYC regulations.
  • Handle wire transfers, stop payments, and account maintenance efficiently.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with products and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Support branch operations, including opening/closing procedures and administrative tasks.
  • Represent the bank at community events and networking functions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and maintain a positive environment.
  • Stay informed on banking trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in banking, cash handling, or customer service with a focus on sales.
  • Familiarity with banking products, services, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual preferred based on market needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and operate standard banking equipment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
