Job Description

SpineSearch is seeking an experienced Senior Patient Care Coordinator to join a concierge internal medicine practice growing into Bergen County, NJ. The person in this role primarily supports the care teams through our back-end clinical support. A successful Patient Care Coordinator possesses a strong commitment to providing superior service and views every interaction as an opportunity to build a trusting relationship with the patient.

Responsibilities:

  • Interacts appropriately with patients and records information while greeting, checking in, checking out, or scheduling appointments.
  • Process prior authorizations.
  • Processes patient specimens for laboratory send outs.
  • Enters laboratory orders in lab information system.
  • May perform phlebotomy services and vital sign checks in the event a nurse is not available.
  • Maintain accurate patient demographic data and help ensure patient information is properly loaded into the EMR.
  • Assist patients in scheduling appointments for specialty visits, medical imaging visits, and any other medical-related appointments outside of our offices.
  • Reconciles patient charts by scanning and organizing medical records.
  • Conducts lobby checks to ensure organization and cleanliness.
  • Assists with scheduling follow-up and in-house Specialist referral appointments, when necessary.

Ideal Qualifications/Experience:

  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Customer service experience and mindset.
  • Working closely with physicians.
  • Administering prior authorizations.
  • Hold bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
